Alibaba Cloud Model Studio’s Qwen vision models are compatible with the OpenAI API specification. To migrate an existing OpenAI application to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, update the following three parameters:

  • base_url: Replace it with https://{WorkspaceId}.ap-southeast-1.maas.aliyuncs.com/compatible-mode/v1. Replace {WorkspaceId} with your actual workspace ID.

For other regions, replace the base_url:

  • api_key: Replace it with your Alibaba Cloud Model Studio API key

  • model: Replace it with a model name from the list below

Important

The legacy Singapore domain https://dashscope-intl.aliyuncs.comand China (Hong Kong) domain https://cn-hongkong.dashscope.aliyuncs.comwill be discontinued. Migrate to https://{WorkspaceId}.ap-southeast-1.maas.aliyuncs.com (Singapore) and https://{WorkspaceId}.cn-hongkong.maas.aliyuncs.com (China (Hong Kong)) as soon as possible.

Call using the langchain_openai SDK ​

Prerequisites ​

  • Make sure that a Python environment is installed on your computer.

  • Run the following command to install the langchain_openai SDK.

  • You must activate the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio service and obtain an API key. For more information, see Get an API key.

  • We recommend that you set the API key as an environment variable to reduce the risk of leaks. For more information, see Set the API key as an environment variable. You can also configure the API key in your code, but this increases the risk of leaks.

Usage ​

You can use the Qwen vision model through the langchain_openai SDK by following these examples.

Call using the HTTP interface ​

You can call the Qwen vision model through the HTTP interface to obtain a response with the same structure as a call to the OpenAI service through its HTTP interface.

Prerequisites ​

  • You must activate the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio service and obtain an API key. For more information, see Get an API key.

  • We recommend that you set the API key as an environment variable to reduce the risk of leaks. For more information, see Set the API key as an environment variable. You can also configure the API key in your code, but this increases the risk of leaks.
